Spend a week writing down times you find yourself eating something you don't want to, on your path to being a healthier you. Ask these questions;

What has happened?

How are you feeling?

Where are you?

Why have you chosen to eat .............?

Can you avoid what has happened?

If this situation happens regularly can it be better managed?

This might seem strange, and I am aware while you are sitting there stuffing Maltesers into your face, being analytical about it can be difficult, if not ludicrus. But remember you are on a long term journey and it is the start of the process. What you are doing is a pre-conditioned response you have built up to your trigger. This can be changed, it will not be easy.
